All pink, Delisle School takes us back to the 1930's era. A witness of another era as well as a recent one, the schoolhouse is still a long-lived recollection in the memory of those aged 40 years and older... In 1989, Radio-Canada (CBC French) filmed scenes of "Cormoran" (a television series) on location.
Opposite the church, the monuments of Ernest-Gagnon Park remind us of certain unforgettable dates of the local history. The "Old Presbytery", classified historic building in 1979, was built from 1881 to 1882 under the reign of priest Éloi-Victorien Dion. The work of the architect David Ouellet marries the style second empire with a four-slope "mansard" roof. The restoration, in 1984, gave this building its original style.
The church Notre-Dame-de-Liesse (Our-Lady-of-Jubilation), dated 1877, conceals several objects of religious art including a tabernacle going back to 1770, paintings by Louis Dulongpré representing St-Bernard, the Assumption and St-Antoine (1799) as well as the Evangelists (1820).We can also admire the armchairs of the Lieutenant-governors, the ex-voto Notre-Dame-de-Liesse, the work of Paul Malepart (1745), the organ (1926), the six candlesticks (1848), the high altar (1777), the Way of the Cross (1880), the statues in gilded pine (18th century). ![]() At the entrance of the cemetery, a commemorative site is reserved for the pioneers who were established in Rivière-Ouelle as well as their families, such as:
